Dr. Hooria C. Amrit

Assistant Chairperson

Dr. Hooria C. Amrit is a recognized academic, senior leader in the risk management industry, and a dedicated advocate for social change in East Africa. As Co-Founder and Managing Director of NHM Holdings, she brings over 25 years of leadership experience spanning the security and risk management sectors. With a passion for unconventional business strategies, Dr. Amrit drives innovation and client-focused solutions across NHM’s portfolio of brands including Sekura International, Sekura Tech, Forensics One, Absolute Security Training Academy, Safety One, Sekura Cyber, and Global Watch Remote Visual Monitoring Centre. Dr. Amrit established one of the region’s first private forensic investigation units, which has since earned a reputation as a top-tier service for complex investigations. She also conceptualized and developed East Africa’s first AI-driven safety and security Remote Visual Monitoring Centre, Global Watch RVM, solidifying her presence as a pioneering force in a traditionally male-dominated industry. Under her direction, NHM Group has become a trusted provider of integrated, multilayered safety and security solutions and advisory services for both public and private partners. Today, the group proudly serves more than 500 clients through a dedicated workforce of over 5,000 professionals across Africa and the Middle East. Beyond her corporate achievements, Dr. Amrit is deeply committed to community development. Through her social initiatives, she has provided training and employment opportunities for over 300 single mothers, led youth empowerment programs through grassroots business funding, and established a safe home in Dagoretti for children affected by crime or parental incarceration with legal, financial, and monetary assistance to help them rebuild their lives.

Since 2016, Noor Vaiani has served as a catalyst for change for women and families worldwide. A multifaceted Life Coach, Parenting Coach, and Relocation Consultant, Noor understands that major life shifts require more than logistics—they require heart. Her work is rooted in the belief that empowered women build stronger families and communities. Whether guiding a mother through parenting challenges or helping a family transition to a new country, Noor equips her clients with the tools to lead with purpose and resilience.

Harleen Jabbal  - Asian Women Network Kenya leadership team member

Harleen Jabbal

Deputy Secretary

Harleen Jabbal is the CEO of the United Asian Network (UAN) and a key leader within the India Kenya Chamber of Commerce (IKCC), where she drives strategic partnerships and inclusive economic development. As a dedicated advocate for gender equality, she also leads the Women Empowerment Committee under the Sikh Council of Kenya, focusing on advancing women’s leadership and social inclusion through rights-based approaches. With over 15 years of experience in media and communication—including her work as a veteran broadcaster and founder of Crossover Kenya—she is a master of human connection, leveraging her vast network to create mentorship and growth opportunities for women across the region. Beyond her corporate leadership, Harleen is a trained Counselling Psychologist with a B.A. in the field and is currently pursuing an M.A. at Daystar University, allowing her to integrate trauma-informed psychosocial support into her community work. Through the Asian Women Network (AWN), she creates a unique space where professional networking meets holistic well-being, aiming to destigmatize mental health and provide women with the resilience tools needed for personal growth. By combining her expertise in mental health with her extensive corporate and diplomatic reach, Harleen empowers women of Asian origin to reclaim their voices, achieve mental peace, and excel in their professional journeys.,

Dr. Priyanka Chotai is a dynamic healthcare professional, proud mother, and passionate advocate for community service. With a strong background in pharmacy and hospital administration, she currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Guru Nanak Ramgharia Sikh Hospital & the Honorary Secretary of the Asian Foundation, where she champions initiatives that uplift underserved populations. Beyond the boardroom, Priyanka finds joy in the kitchen, on stage, and behind the mic—whether she's cooking up a feast, performing in a play, or emceeing events with her signature warmth and wit. Her ability to blend compassion with capability has made her a sought-after voice in healthcare circles, charitable forums, and community gatherings. Whether she's leading change in the health sector or connecting with an audience, Priyanka brings authenticity, energy, and heart to everything she does.

Darshani Haria is a prominent professional and entrepreneur based in Nairobi, Kenya, currently serving as the Commercial Director at rescue.co. She leads strategy development and stakeholder alignment to strengthen emergency medical services across the region. Beyond her corporate role, she is a content creator under "Not Just A Foodie Review" and Co-Founder of Meraki Kenya, a skincare brand. Her career includes leadership roles at Swvl, Jumia Group, and Kestrel Capital. Darshani brings curiosity, creativity, and a passion for exploring the unknown. She has supported the Asian Women Network's strategic vision for over a decade, advocating for inclusion and women's empowerment.

Safia is a humanitarian leader and executive with extensive experience in research, policy, and innovation. She currently leads a humanitarian think tank hosted by the Kenya Red Cross Society, focused on translating evidence and lived experience into practical solutions that influence systems and decision-making. She is deeply passionate about advancing women, particularly by creating spaces where women can build confidence, formalise their ideas, and grow sustainable ventures while balancing the many roles they hold. Safia brings a strategic yet empathetic lens to leadership, and is committed to supporting women to thrive — not just succeed.

Sneha Doshi

Director Planning & Development

Sneha Doshi is the founder of Fully Baked by Sneha, an eggless dessert café and gifting brand known for its emphasis on quality, consistency, and thoughtful design. She believes food is a powerful channel for human connection—whether to celebrate, comfort, or express love—and has built a brand trusted for both its standards and heart. Alongside her entrepreneurial work, Sneha is deeply involved with the Young Jains CP Unit at Dr Ribeiro’s Parklands Primary School, supporting over 125 children living with cerebral palsy. She works closely with therapists, educators, and donors to manage therapy and education, with a strong focus on integrating children into mainstream schooling and enabling children to live as independently and fully as possible. Sneha is passionate about mentorship, ethical leadership, and creating pathways that help women and underserved communities build confidence, independence, and lasting impact within their families and society

Dr Isha Anand is an accomplished Clinical Pharmacist with extensive experience in healthcare management, procurement, strategy, and administration. She was recently recognized among the Top 40 Under 40 Women by Business Daily Africa in August 2025, a testament to her impact and leadership in the healthcare sector. She currently serves as the Chief Pharmacist for The Nairobi Hospital and holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) in International Healthcare, along with a Postgraduate Degree in Clinical Pharmacy. Attained her Bachelor of Pharmacy from the Curtin University of Technology, Perth. These qualifications have equipped her with a strong foundation in strategic planning, business structuring, and organizational development—skills she has applied successfully across various healthcare environments. Currently, a Board member of The Pharmacy and Poisons Board Kenya. A registered Pharmacist by Pharmacy and Poisons Board, Kenya and previously by the Pharmaceutical Council of Western Australia, Perth. A recognized national pharmacist leader, with active involvement in various professional organizations such as Hospital Pharmacists Association of Kenya (HOPAK), Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya (PSK), Ramgharia Youth Association and the Kenya Red Cross Society amongst others. A student ambassador at the Robert Kennedy College/University of Cumbria in Zurich and mentor’s numerous young pharmacists. Has participated in various studies and has published various professional opinions. With a blend of local and international experience, Dr Anand brings a global perspective to healthcare systems, compliance, and service delivery. Her career spans hospital and retail, sectors, where she has led initiatives to improve operations, enhance stakeholder satisfaction, and deliver sustainable solutions. A registered pharmacist and respected leader, she is known for her collaborative approach, adaptability, and results-driven mindset.
